Chief of Staff – People & Culture Focus
We are looking for a people-first leader who thrives on building trust, supporting others, and making organizations better from the inside out. As Chief of Staff, you will report to our Head of People and Culture, act as a trusted partner to the executive team and will be a key advocate for employees’ wellbeing, motivation, engagement, and productivity.
Responsibilities
Individual responsibilities
- Foster world-class productivity within our team.
- Instil a positive culture, undeterred and -on the contrary- stimulated by technical risks and ambitions, comfortable with the uncertainties, highs and lows of a startup. Instil a sense of urgency, refusal to stagnate, to overthink and hesitate, a culture in line with the company values and with its strategic preference for making vs. buying.
- Coach and motivate individuals and teams to help them grow, overcome challenges, and be/become their best selves at work.
- Support our people by regularly checking in with them (in groups or 1-on-1’s), listening with empathy, and ensuring that they are (and feel) seen, heard, and supported. Be tactful and keep confidentiality on complex matters.
- Organize workshops and team-building activities to foster a positive culture and emotional intelligence across the organization.
- Be proactive, detect the “small signals”, anticipate pain points within the team and help find solutions before they turn into bigger problems.
In collaboration with HR, the Social and Economic Committee (French CSE) and other company leaders or members
- Create a psychologically safe, engaging and enjoyable workplace.
- Keep it fun. We would like our team to work hard and play hard – and we really mean “play hard” as well!
- Share and discuss staff concerns (anonymized, if necessary) as appropriate, and propose solutions. “Connect the dots” across departments, helping leadership stay aligned with the needs, concerns, and aspirations of the wider team.
Requirements
Feel free to apply if you only meet 70% of requirements. Superheroes don’t exist, but people with talent and passion do!
