Grant editor & Administrator
We are looking for a Grant editor & administrator to get public funding, as a complement to private funding, to finance our technical development and benefit from the technical expertise and equipment of the public labs.
Your main responsibilities are:
Detect the best grant opportunities
- Identify grant opportunities for the company. This includes attending relevant webinars and events in agreement as well as contacting key persons
- Rank them by priority (benefit vs. effort)
- Support the technical members to find partners to build possible consortia
- Identify the key stakeholders that will maximize our chances of success (government, public institutions, research labs, universities, industries…
Lead the grant proposal
- Coordinate the grant application internally
- Consolidate the application forms:
- draft the non-technical content
- collect technical content from the technical managers
- propose rewording of parts of the proposal more accessible to a broader, non-technical readership
- Follow up the application phase with the financial institution
- Submit the applications
- Keep the team informed as soon as there are any updates on the ongoing applications
Manage the grant
- Formalize the grant agreement
- Discuss grant execution internally on a regular basis and collect technical and financial updates relevant to external reporting
- Organize the technical and financial reporting in agreement with the various departments
- Organize meeting reviews with the financing institution when requested according to the grant agreement
- Monitor the action and manage the deviations with the CTO and the financing authority
You are the ideal profile if:
- Education and professional experience
- Master’s degree in engineering or related subjects
- Experienced in deep tech and/or “big science”
- 5+ years of experience in grant application and administration
- Language requirements
- Fluent in English (C1) & French (C1)
- Proficiency in an additional language is appreciated
- Technical competencies
- Knowledge of the French & European funding system. Familiarity with the US and other international funding systems is a plus
- Project management skills (Breakdown structure, Gantt Chart, Risk analysis, …)
- Basic knowledge of finance (Revenue, expenses, cash flow…)
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office package
