IT Specialist
We are looking for an IT specialist who works with the IT administrator to maintain the IT, network and computational infrastructure of Renaissance Fusion and their cybersecurity to the highest practices and manages first level of troubleshooting for daily blocking points.
Your main responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the company network and company user systems, enforcing user policies as appropriate
- Work closely with the IT Administrator
- Assist with troubleshooting complex technological problems connected to computational activities
- Integrate existing documentation and contribute to new IT documentation
- Enforce the company IT policy, including back-up and archiving
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and procedures to prevent potential misuse, harden our network against external threats
- Create user accounts and perform access control for the Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint platforms and act as the first point of contact for any support
- Install and configure new hardware, user systems, and software
- Manage licensed software and configure the company license server for Ansys, COMSOL and other proprietary software
- Keep up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration
- Interact with the COO to follow-up on the IT strategy and to manage exceptional IT situations with a business impact

Education and professional experience
- License or Master’s degree, previous experience of up to 2 years is a plus
Languages
- Fluent in English (C1) and French (C1).
Technical skills
- Sufficient knowledge of IT systems, networks, and related technologies
- Knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
- Familiarity with Windows systems administration (in particular Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint), 1st experience with Linux administration is a plus
Knowledge of the following is a plus
- CD/CI and git version control
- Vscode
- Cloudcomputing and cloudbursting
- Knowledge of engineering software (Ansys, Comsol, Inventor, ...)
