Electrical Engineer
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the HTS (High-Temperature Superconductor) department, dedicated to the development of new wide-tape HTS materials. These materials will play a key role in the success of our project as essential components of superconducting magnets for fusion energy, but they can also be deployed for other non-fusion-related applications
In this context, you will be involved in the design and implementation of electrical systems integrated into the special machines developed by Renaissance Fusion, while adhering to quality, cost, and time constraints.
Your main responsibilities will be:
*Electrical activities
- Design schematics and panel layouts for electrical power & PLC control cabinets for PVD and MOCVD prototype coating machines.
- Select electrical and power electronic components for the assembly of electrical cabinets.
- Collaborate with automation, mechanical design, and process engineers to ensure electrical designs that meet functional specifications and safety standards.
- Provide electrical designs for in-house HTS test and characterization equipment.
- Troubleshoot sensors and instruments used for the characterization of HTS samples.
- Hold regular review sessions of electrical designs.
- Contribute to improvements in process control of PVD and MOCVD machines and in-house HTS characterization of wide tapes.
- Develop novel solutions and contribute to new intellectual property.
*Documentation and training
